Virtual and Augmented Reality Observatory (ORVA)
The Virtual and Augmented Reality Observatory (ORVA) was born from a project prepared by the Directorate of Innovation and Educational Management, the Research Secretariat and the Extension Secretariat of the Faculty of Social Sciences, which was later joined by the University School of Health Sciences (EUCS). ) and the Faculty of Philosophy, Humanities and Arts (FFHA).
Currently, Health, Philosophy and Social Sciences are the three academic units that make up the consortium that gives rise to ORVA. However, the intention is that other units of the UNSJ can also use this observatory.
The ORVA seeks to design, create and generate immersive experiences based on the use of virtual reality technologies and augmented, that produce impact, change and transformation in different areas, mainly in the social, educational-academic and health areas. Its objective is the production of diverse knowledge through projects that respond to the demands of society.
ORVA is possible thanks to the financing obtained through the "Equipar Ciencia" Program of the former Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Nation to acquire the equipment and software for immersive technologies. For its part, the Faculty of Social Sciences allocated and renovated a space to carry out the experiences and house the artifacts and devices.
