The Central Library Faculty of Social Sciences is a
of the units that make up the Bibliographic Information System and
Documentary from the National University of San Juan. It isat the service of the
teaching, research, creation and extension of Social Sciences, in particular, and of
the UNSJ, in general. It is a supportive, participatory and inclusive space.
In the library, students will find resources
information they need to carry out their activities. The physical support
on paper it still has a great presence, however, gradually, the unit is
incorporating digital sources.

Requirements
Students, undergraduate and graduate, can access library services using the unique credential issued by the University Welfare Secretariat. With that accreditation, can apply for the loan
home delivery of books in the libraries of the five faculties, the University School of Health Sciences and the three pre-university institutes of the National University of San Juan.
In addition, teachers and University Support Personnel must obtain a specific card at the library. To do so, they must present a copy of the designation resolution and a photo ID, at any time.

Validity
-For undergraduate students, the validity of the single credential is for one academic year (from April to April), and then they must renew it annually.
-For graduate students, until they finish their thesis or final work.
-For teachers and PAU the card is valid for one year.
Material loans
All users accredited for the home loan can withdraw up to three books simultaneously, for a period of 7 consecutive days. This can be renewed if there is no demand for that material.
Penalties for late payment
the return
When the borrowed material is not returned within the stipulated period, a penalty of three days of suspension of the home loan is applied for each day of delay.

It is an area of the library dedicated to collecting, gathering and organizing periodical publications, among others: scientific or general interest magazines, newspapers, bulletins, weeklies and yearbooks. Some editions are available in format

Summer loans
From 20 and until < strong>on December 27, special loans will begin to be managed. This method is designed so that students, teachers, researchers and the Social Sciences community, in general, can carry out readings during the month of January.
The return of these books will begin on February 7, in a staggered manner. That is, if the loan began on 12/20, the book must be returned on 2/7; if it was requested on 12/21, the return date will be 2/8.
